MHA for Lake Melville John Hickey presented the award to Rick Kennedy of Happy Valley Goose Bay and the award for Female athlete went to Cathy Jong also of Happy Valley Goose Bay.

MHA Yvonne Jones presented the award for Top Male athlete to Preston Morris of Cartwright. The award for Top Female athlete went to Andrea Pardy also of Cartwright.

Team Cartwright was awarded the Labrador Cup and crowned Champions of the 2006 Labrador Winter Games.
