Want to keep up to date on all the Games news? Then keep your eye out for The Northern Star, the official newspaper of the Labrador Winter Games.
To the left of this page you will see links to each edition of the Northern Star. There you will also be able to click on a link to download your very own copy of the official newspaper of the Labrador Winter Games to print as a keepsake. This is Bonnie McLean’s second time as editor of The Northern Star, along with her vice-chair Kent White.
During Games week, a dedicated team of volunteer reporters will be covering all of the events to keep you informed, so if you should happen to be approached by an eager reporter looking to get your take on things, please take a minute out of your busy schedule to help them out – don’t be shy! This is YOUR newspaper!
The Northern Star, besides publishing all the latest Games results and schedules, will also carry the juicier tidbits of the Games – funny birthday greetings, messages from those at home cheering on their favourite athletes and unique stories of athletes and teams that make the Games so special. We also carry a “Meet the Athlete” feature that will profile different athletes from all over Labrador. Who knows? YOU could see yourself in the Northern Star!
