Mandatory Events
1) Target Shooting
Target Shooting – 3 components from which shooters will shoot targets.
i) prone position
ii) standing
iii) sitting or kneeling
i) prone position
ii) standing
iii) sitting or kneeling
2) Northern Games
Northern Games - consists of 4 components:
i) Labrador Hurdles
ii) Over the Rope
iii) Seal Race
iv) One Foot High Kick
i) Labrador Hurdles

iv) One Foot High Kick
3) Labrathon
Labrathon - A course covering a distance of approximately 500 meters. The course will have four (4) trail stops referred to as “Tilts”.
Tilt 1 – participant lights a fire & boils a full kettle of snow.
Tilt 2 -participants must knock down 5 targets from a firing line.
Tilt 3 -participants must saw through a log and set a trap.
Tilt 4 -participants must cut a hole through the ice with an ice chisel or axe.

4) Snowshoe Race
Snowshoe Race – wearing snowshoes participants, follow a course. 2 components will include individual and team races (male & female).
5) Snowshoe Biathlon
Snowshoe Biathlon - a combined event of snowshoe racing and precision shooting.
6) Northern Triathlon
Northern Triathlon -consists of cross country skiing, snowshoe racing and ice skating components in succession and performed by the same athlete.
7) Cross Country Skiing
Cross Country Skiing - cross country skiing for both male and female skiers, individual and relay.
